Some more snow today–patchy blowing snow likely beginning to fall shortly after noon. One to two inches of accumulation this afternoon, another two to four inches tonight, and another 1-2 inches are expected tomorrow afternoon. The National Weather Service says the southern Maine coast is on the fringe of a “monster” storm that would have produced huge amounts of snow had it passed over land, but instead we will see only light fluffy snow.
The 15 million dollar project to replace the Bath viaduct over Route 1 will begin in May–that word from the state transportation department, which says full reconstruction will start in October. The viaduct is a quarter-mile long and runs from High Street to the Sagadahoc Bridge over the Kennebunk River.
The personal finance website Gobankingrates.com finds that Maine is the fourth best place in America to get a divorce from a financial perspective. The site says that Maine’s $120 divorce filing fee is the eighth cheapest in the nation.
