28 Feb Richardson calls for a Consolidation Conversation
On today’s edition of “LePage and Richardson”, the point-counterpoint program Saturdays at noon on WCME, featuring Governor LePage and Brunswick town councilor John Richardson, a former Democratic speaker of the Maine House of Representatives, Richardson suggests that Brunswick and Topsham expand their current conversation about the future of the Frank J. Wood bridge, which links the downtown areas of the two communities.
Richardson suggests that the towns talk about a possible consolidation. These consolidation efforts can result in various efficiencies in the delivery of public services but they can also result in controversy and turf battles.
