I thought I had it tough in my pup years–I was big and slow–not particularly athletic, and a very strong talent for often saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.
Yes, I did have it tough as do many kids in the course of perhaps the largest job we all confront in this life–the transition from pup to adult–a massive task for which there is no common script–we make it up as we go along.
But aging brings perspective, and I have come to be extremely empathetic to the kids of today, who faced all we faced several generations back, with the massive add-on of 24/7 social media pressure.
And now some kids, by an accident of birth, may go to school in the morning not certain if they will even reside in this nation a week or a month from now.
With those thoughts top of mind, I give you today’s Midcoast Morning Buzz check-in with Brunswick School Superintendent Phil Potenziano–on his quest to navigate the Trump immigration crackdown.
Not a job I would want any part of.
