A Somber Anniversary Noted on the WCME Midcoast Morning Buzz

It was a year ago today–March 29,2024–that Evan Gershkovich a Bowdoin College grad from the Class of 2014 was simply doing his job as a Moscow reporter for the Wall Street Journal when he suddenly found himself “detained” by Russian authorities. A year later, he remains “detained”–more like imprisoned at Moscow’s noted Lefortovo Prison.

This morning on the WCME Midcoast Morning Buzz we looked back and forward with the man who has guided us through this story throughout the past year–NBC News National Security Analyst Marc Polymeropoulos, a 26-year veteran of the CIA.
