05 Aug Breaking News: Woman and Dog Dead in Harpswell
A 75-year-old woman and her dog are both dead after being struck by a car on Harpswell Island Road near Mountain Road in Harpswell very close to the woman’s home.
Police identify the victim as Rita Douglas who was walking the dog Police say the driver was a female juvenile whose name has not yet been released. Traffic was backed up for a time near the intersection after emergency crews arrived at the scene.
