Emergency No Parking

Page Street in Brunswick, about which there was so much concern at Monday’s Brunswick town council meeting, is off limits to parked vehicles on an emergency basis until February 3, one day after a scheduled public hearing on a plan to put an overnight permit parking system into effect on the street, which is near Bowdoin College, and in recent months has become a favorite long-term parking place for Bowdoin students. The absence of parked vehicles will also make it easier for public works crews to clear remaining snow and ice that has been blamed as a contributing factor to an increasingly congested atmosphere on the street.
