Breaking News from WCME: Mini-Crime Wave

Breaking from WCME News 9:

State police have charged five Midcoast teen-age boys, one of whom is a 17-year-old from Brunswick, whose name is being withheld because of his age, in a vandalism spree that left behind several thousand dollars in damage to homes where windows were smashed, and damage to vehicles in Chelsea and Augusta.

Police say it was a crime wave fueld by alcohol, marijuana and perhaps strangely, a dislike of one of the victim’s choices in rap music. The Brunswick boy is charged with aggravated criminal mischief as are two 18-year-olds, Nathaniel Thibeau of Randolph and Spencer King of Gardiner, and two other 17-year-olds–one from West Gardiner and one from Randolph. 21-year-old Patrick Simmons of Gardiner is charged with furnishing alcohol to minors.
