28 Mar Breaking from WCME News 9: Richmond Arson Arrest
Breaking from WCME News 9:
In Richmond, a case of arson. The state fire marshall’s office is charging a homeless man, 58-year-old Gary Martin, with counts of arson, burglary and criminal trespass after he apparently set a fire in a barn at 1 Furlong Road, where he had been staying in recent days. It was a fire that may have been set by Martin to keep warm.
Richmond police apparently discovered Martin inside the barn while a fire was underway inside a grill, and there was evidence of previous fires inside the building.
Fortunately none had spread and there was little damage. Martin is also a suspect in a burglary at a vacant house in Richmond the previous weekend.
