In Brunswick, police are crediting an unnamed passerby with pulling a driver from a burning car on Route 1 southbound. When police arrived at the scene they found a 2008 Hyundai off the road and in flames. The driver was later taken to a hospital with injuries said to be non-life threatening.

Brunswick Police and Brunswick Fire/Rescue responded to Route 1 (Southbound) on April 19 at 8:50PM for a report of a vehicle fire. Upon arrival officers observed a 2008 Hyundai off the roadway, which was in flames. The driver had been pulled from the vehicle by a passerby and was later transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
