State police now say a pick-up truck exited Rabbit Road onto Route 9 this morning into the path of a dump truck and struck the dump truck on the side before the pick-up caught fire. Two occupants of the pick-up lost their lives, after being rescued by passersby along with another occupant from the burning truck.

Dead are 21-year-old Malakai Cawood of Limington and 24-year-old Brendan Harthorn of Cornish. The third man, Jeremy Reardon of Buxton, is now being treated for multiple injuries at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where he was taken by Lifeflight. The three were employees of a Gorham-based construction company and were headed to a job site in the area. The dump truck driver, 42-year-old Clifford Larabee of Durham, is now at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
