Breaking From WCME: Bath Shooting Details

A 22-year-old woman now identified as Chelsea Jones of Thomaston is in very serious condition at Maine Medical Center in Portland after having been shot, apparently accidentally, on Monday afternoon in the parking lot of Shaw’s supermarket in Bath. Jones was shot by her boyfriend, Dylan Grubbs, also of Thomaston, as she was sitting in the front passenger seat of their sport utility vehicle. Grubbs had driven to the parking lot to sell a handgun and was showing it to a prospective buyer outside the SUV when the gun went off. Grubbs has been interviewed by police and is said to be cooperative. State and Bath police continue to investigate.
