Seth is a Democratic state representative from Bowdoinham who co-chairs the legislature’s energy committee. He’s also the legislature’s most vocal critic of Central Maine Power, and is pushing a bill that would require the sale of its assets for the formation of a consumer-owned utility–as has been done in some other places around the country.
On the Tuesday WCME Midcoast Morning Buzz, Seth Berry reacted to an appearance before the energy committee by Philip Bartlett-the new chairman of the Public Utilities Commission, in which Bartlett suggested that there may be a delay in consideration of the company’s double-digit rate increase request–which Berry says is “preposterous.”
If you missed him Tuesday morning, you can still hear Seth Berry here.
